On Saturday May 26, 2:00 – 4:00, CCVA will host a discussion of “The Road Ahead” and plans for GOTV (Get Out The Vote) in the General Election next November. CCVA reminds us that:
This past March, Champaign County shattered voter turnout records for the Primary Election. Campus voter turnout was triple what it was in the last state primary. And, overall voter turnout for the county was higher than it has been in 20+ years!
The upcoming General Election, it is expected that less than 55% of Registered Voters will cast ballots in Champaign County. For campus registered voters, less than 22% will cast ballots. We hope to continue the momentum from March and shatter these numbers in November to make for another record breaking election in Champaign County!
