Tuesday, 7/24 7 pm First Followers will be at the Chamaign City Council Meeting, presenting data that supports deleting the exemption in part 17-4.5 of the city’s Human Rights ordinance. Please come to the Champaign City Building in downtown Champaign to show support. You do not have to live in Champaign to be there. It is a plus if you are a Champaign resident.

Thursday, 7/26 5:30 pm There will be a candidates’ forum with all the candidates running for state representatives in the IL-101, 102, 103 and 104 at the Urbana Civic Center. It is called the Champaign County Seniors’ Forum. But many of the issues impact everyone. You do not have to be a senior to go. (Hey, it is even marked as “kid friendly”) Democratic and Republican candidates were all asked to participate. Come and hear what candidates on both sides of the aisle have to say.
