Teens: Conversation on the Issues on Saturday, August 4

Teens are invited to share their thoughts about issues faced by youth in today’s America, and to discuss the power of art, storytelling, civic engagement, community, and collective action.  It’s on Saturday, August 4, 3:00 pm

– 4:00 pm at the Urbana Free Library. Pizza and snacks will be served. The event is in the Lewis Auditorium, at the Urbana Free Library, 210 W Green St, Urbana.  Pizza and snacks will be served. Space is limited, so please arrive on time to take part.

Participants in the discussion are: Urbana City Council Member Aaron Ammons, Illinois Public Media (WILL-AM/FM/TV) Director of Engagement and Educational Outreach Kimberlie Kranich, Independent Media journalist Brian Dolinar, and California State University Assistant Professor Dr. Aimee Rickman.  Sponsors are the Urbana Free Library, Dixon Graphics, Elliott Counseling Group, Rumours Hat Shoppe, Vonderheide Construction, and Common Ground Food Co-op.
