Today, Sunday, 8/26/18, help register voters at Quad Day. You can sign up for a one hour shift between 12 noon and 1 pm. Check in prior to you shift, across the street at the University YMCA.
FYI: Nationwide, today Indivisible, MoveOn and NARAL have declared this a day of resistance against the Brett Kavanaugh SCOTUS nomination. This is what WE NEED to do to resist.

Today, Sunday, 8/26/18, For those that want to go to an anti-Kavanaugh rally, here is a list of times and locations of rallies in Illinois.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Saturday, 9/1/18, “Rally to end ICE detention and expansion in Kankakee County” at 1 pm at the Kankakee County Courthouse.
Kankakee County’s Jerome Combs Detention Center houses on average 150 ICE detainees per day. Now the Sheriff wants to expand 32,000 additional square feet AND improve the Kankakee airport to expedite deportations, making Kankakee one of the largest ICE detention centers in the state.
