From the CU Immigration Forum blog site: “In these hard times for immigrants, everyone’s help is needed. We appreciate all volunteers and donations. Our regular meetings are meant as a dialogue and inclusion of points of view so that we may do a better job serving and advocating….Let’s meet to share the issues affecting immigrants in Champaign County and how we can best collaborate to achieve our goals.”
Join the Forum at their Partnership Building Meeting on Tuesday, October 9, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Upstairs at the University YMCA, 1001 S. Wright St., Champaign, IL 61820. Most university parking lots and lot meters are free after 4 in the Winter (do not park in those with a blue 24 hour sign). Pizza, hummus & veggies, and fruit will be served. (Sponsored by C-U Immigration Forum and CU FAIR. Co-sponsors include New American Welcome Center.)
