Join United By Blue, Champaign Outdoors, Urbana Parks District for their first ever joint waterway cleanup in Urbana, IL! This cleanup is one of 20 that United by Blue is co-hosting nationwide this summer, from June-August, to establish community partnerships between their specialty retailers, conservation or municipal partners, and volunteers.
We will clean the shore lines of the Saline Branch in Crystal Lake Park, protecting this popular outdoor recreation and wildlife space in Urbana. United By Blue will provide all cleanup supplies, snacks and drinking water.
After the cleanup, join us at Riggs Beer Company* after the clean-up for our Volunteer Happy Hour! Every volunteer at the event will receive a FREE Riggs pint glass or glass growler for donating their time to cleaning up our local waterways.
Not only will you receive a free pint glass or growler at the Volunteer Happy Hour, but Fernado’s food truck will also give you a FREE taco as a thank you for helping out. There’s nothing like a delicious Fernando’s taco after spending the evening cleaning up your community!
