There are countless reasons it is crucial to keep Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court, including:
- He believes presidential power isso great that presidents must be exempt from lawsuits and criminal investigation, no matter how much evidence exists
- The Affordable Care Act is in great danger if he is confirmed
- His vote could be the final nailin the coffin for Roe v.Wade and reproductive rights
- His full record as staffsecretary under George W. Bush has not been released
Republicans are trying to rush Kavanaugh’s confirmation while aggressively obscuring his record. What we know about him is that he would tip the balance of the Supreme Court to the far right, reverse important progressive victories, and impede basic civil rights.
Republicans hold the Senate majority, but Kavanaugh’s confirmation is NOT inevitable.
