The nonpartisan group Champaign County Voter Alliance (CCVA) worked hard in the midterms election. Their special focus was getting those who were registered to actually vote. They passed out flyers, staff tables at events, registered voters and hung information on hundreds of doors. Now, the organization wants to debrief on November 17, Saturday, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Champaign Public Library. Their Facebook event says, “The local election had UNPRECEDENTED voter turnout. We’re going to discuss what we’ve learned. The things that worked, and the things that didn’t work as well. And we’ll look forward and see how we can apply these lessons to 2019. We are non-partisan, and everyone is welcome to join.” Share your observations and ideas at the meeting.
