Violence Interrupters Training

Are you interested in helping to reduce violence in our community? If so, you are invited to a 2 day training on December 14, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm through December 15 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at CU Public Health District, 201 W. The Violence Interrupters Program prevents imminent gun violence through conflict mediation. Topics discussed and more include:

This event is offered by the CU Area Project.  The Champaign-Urbana Area Project is organized to serve as a catalyst for citizens working together to address problems and issues affecting them. Specifically, CUAP is to provide services to “at risk” youth and their families. These activities seek to empower low-income citizens and shall include, but not be limited to: cultural, educational, recreational, community organization and development, self esteem enhancing, and social activities which result in preventing juvenile delinquency.
