From local blog Smile Politely, a notice that Champaign is preparing their Annual Action Plan for 2019-2020, as well as an Action Plan Amendment to the 2018-2019 plan. The Annual Action Plan “outlines local affordable housing and community development needs and identifies strategies for addressing them. The plan identifies activities that the City expects to undertake through direct action or through the provision of funding to other entities.” There will be several opportunities for public comment on these items, beginning in February. From the City’s site: The City of Champaign receives federal funding for housing and community development activities. Over the next 30 days, the City seeks your input. A public hearing will be held on February 14, 2019 at 5:30 pm in Council Chambers, 102 North Neil Street, during the Neighborhood Services Advisory Board meeting. This will allow the City to consider feedback prior to amending the FY 2018/19 Annual Action Plan and the Neighborhood Programs Manual. These amended documents and the associated programs will then be considered for approval at the City Council meeting on February 19, 2019 at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers, 102 North Neil Street.
