Last September, Champaign County celebrated Welcoming Week 2018. Together we enjoyed puppet shows on immigration, made new friends at the World Food & Crafts Fair, and joined in an Eritrean coffee ceremony. As a collaborative and community, we participated in 26 events with over 2,500 of our neighbors to celebrate diversity and the spirit of welcoming.
Now, let’s recognize all that we accomplished together and start planning for Welcoming Week 2019! If you have never attended a Welcoming Collaborative meeting, or if you haven’t been around in a while, now is the time to join! Please fill out this form so we order enough food for lunch: https://goo.gl/forms/R7t38doFOlfk2Ifr1
Also, feel free to send this invite along to other individuals or organizations working to make our community more welcoming for our immigrant neighbors. The meeting agenda and parking information can be found below.
